Reincarnation: the act of stepping into a new form, a rebirth with renewed clarity and purpose
Shivansh School of Arts is a Hyderabad-based dance school. They teach Bharatanatyam, Kalaripayattu, Yoga, and Carnatic music. They also have a performance wing, Team Shivansh.
At its heart, Shivansh is about making classical learning joyful, sustaining the arts as lifelong practices while nurturing careers
RESONANCE
Our intention with the reincarnation of Shivansh was to craft a distinct identity that truly matched the excellence of their work
Our intention with the reincarnation of Shivansh was to craft a distinct identity that truly matched the excellence of their work—design powerful enough to anchor the brand in the minds of audiences, clients, and students alike.
Before we began, the visual presence was erratic. With no real branding language, Shivansh was reduced to just a logo. Maithri’s potential as an innovator in the field of classical arts was not reflected in the communication.
We responded by developing a strategy and visual language that resonates with joy—creating a versatile yet memorable identity for Shivansh School of Arts. Adapted slightly, the same language presents Team Shivansh as a professional and contemporary performance ensemble.

Our starting point was the name itself: Shivansh — Shiv ka ansh, a part of Shiva.
The story traces back to Shiva’s promise to Vishnu: in the moment of separation from his wife, Shivansh would remain with him.
That part of Shiva took form as Hanuman—the bridge who reunited Ram and Sita—marked by the sindoor he once covered himself in.
This narrative shaped the Shivansh identity: the bright vermillion orange of Hanuman as the hero colour, and a logo that embodies dance, music, and yoga—the three pillars of the school—rooted in myth yet reimagined for a contemporary institution of arts.

Context is everything. Working with classical dancers in this project was our unique challenge. Instead of leaving strategy as jargon on paper, we brought parts of it into their world. We reinterpreted core values as panchabhutas- the five elements. This translation grounded the strategy in the brand’s spirit, making it resonant.

As an extension of Shivansh’s new visual identity, we created a series of illustrations for social media and internal use. Designed to depict dance poses and gestures, they serve both as marketing assets and as educational tools.
The illustration style carries forward the joy and versatility of the brand language—bridging classical rigour with contemporary expression, and making Shivansh’s identity more approachable, playful, and memorable across touchpoints.
